Blog Templates with no Sidebar

Hey everyone! We'd like to share a thought with our community bloggers to help answer a common question.

Blog Template There are tons of gorgeous blog templates out there, thanks to the efforts of great creative minds. Using nice blog templates makes readers love your blogs, that's true! Some blog templates have home pages that lack a sidebar. Blog sidebars however are best for placing blog plugins and widgets.

In this context, while BlogUpp widget is included in a sidebar that is not visible on home page, it might get unreviewed for an undefined time. That's because each submitted blog is checked automatically on the availability of the widget. And since only the home page is scanned - the blog escapes our attention, respectively the review and widget activation.

When using such blog templates we'd like to advise bloggers just send us a short note either via email or Twitter and we'll do our part quickly (provided all is well).

That will make it hard for users to navigate. You don't want to drive away your visitors do you?

@Jeorge, you are right - such templates might affect the navigation. Nevertheless, bloggers decide which templates to use, and after all - this is blog's visitor, not ours; readers who use to explore the community still can move to the next blog by clicking on our toolbar, which is shown regardless.

It is important to mention that while the widget is placed in sub-pages, it will credit the hosting blog only for the views of sub-pages, i.e. home page views won't be counted. We think that's fair, as long as the widget in sub-pages is placed in a way that favors other community blogs.
