Q: What is BlogUpp! service?
Blog success is directly dependent on its readers and blog awareness. BlogUpp! aims to bring that easily and efficiently. It works simple: you promote others, and others promote you - automatically. Besides, it's a way to discover and connect other great blogs.

Q: How does it work?

Every submitted blog is reviewed individually, for quality and other terms-enforced considerations. As indicator of the approval status is the color of widget bar with BlogUpp! logo. So that grey color stands for pending, blue - for approved, and red - for denied.

Q: How to match widget and blog language?
We take care of that. All newly submitted blogs before they are reviewed and approved display in the widget only default blogs, which are mainly in English. While each submission is reviewed for approval, it gets assigned to an appropriate language. As a result, for instance, English blogs are mutually promoting English ones only, and Chinese blogs, respectively - Chinese ones. Additionally to that, non-English blogs may occasionally display advertised blogs and default ones. Here comes in place the 10:9 sharing ratio.
Q: How the widget chooses which blog to promote?
Blog promotion in the widget is not random - it's user behavior based, i.e. interest-based. A number of targeting levels are applied. Q: Can I customize the widget?
Yes, BlogUpp! widget may be used in various sizes and layouts. After specifying a blog's address at blogupp.com and pressing enter, there becomes visible the one-click option to choose between:
• Vertical layout (default), which fits in the sidebars of most blog templates;
• Horizontal layout, for wider sidebars;
• 1-blog widget, showing only 1 blog at a time, i.e. half-sized.

Q: Do I get access to BlogUpp! stats?
Stats are available through OpenID authentication, allowing bloggers access their BlogUpp! stats simply by specifying blog URL. In stats page bloggers can also buy additional impressions for Premium extra-promotion. It is important to note the following:
• Reporting is not real-time, statistics are refreshed on a daily basis;
• BlogUpp! visits could be also monitored via your preferred Analytics service, by inquiring referrers section for adv.blogupp.com or blogupp.com;
• BlogUpp! stats might differ from other analytics. Anti-fraud measures exclude repeated page views to avoid impression-waste;

Q: Can I get extra-promotion?

Q: How can I pay for Premium blog promotion?
Premium blog promotion packages can be easily acquired through PayPal, Moneybookers and WebMoney. To ease the payment procedure, you'll find in your BlogUpp! stats page the payment buttons corresponding to above mentioned eCommerce means, acting as Click-and-Buy. Also in the stats page you'll find information about the available Premium packages, which are customized to your blogging sub-community.

Q: Which code do I use?
As you enter the blog address at blogupp.com, in most cases you'll get an iFrame code, which is very compact, easy to integrate, and is the lightest option, which doesn't affect your page load time. iFrame is the one we do recommend, as it allows us easily deliver to your blog updates and new widget effects.
Nevertheless, some blog platforms do not accept iFrames, and for that reason there is available another code, based on style and table HTML elements.

Q: How long does it take to approve a submitted blog?
Normally we do review and approve new blog submissions within 1 business day.

Q: How often the blogs in the widget change?
Each impression displayed while promoting a blog is really valued. Repeated page refreshes won't change in the widget the blogs or advertiser ad, to protect you and the community from impressions-waste. However, the widget shows different blogs as you surf through the blog, by reading different pages or posts.
It also minimizes artificial accumulation of impressions, thus making the sharing fair and simple.
Q: I was directed to a removed blog. Why is that?
For some reasons, either blog owners or blog platform managing team delete certain blogs. While submitting your blog at blogupp.com the system automatically recognizes BlogSpot.com blogs and displays the "Add to Blogger" button, allowing to add the widget in the specified blog in one click.

Q: RSS related errors. How to fix them?
Usually blog platforms automatically configure blog feeds. If it's not your case, then there should be added manually a line of code in the header of the blog, referring the RSS feeds of the blog.

Q: How do I update my feed URL?
It's very simple - just re-enter your blog address at blogupp.com and that's it. BlogUpp! will re-check your RSS URL (in case it changed), and will retrieve your recent blog post.
Please note that approved blogs are scanned automatically for new blog posts on a regular basis. It should be also noted that when the blog URL is re-entered at blogupp.com, its blog thumbnail is also updated and we'd recommend that you read this blog post before you intend to do so.
